They built the village of Sindlesham and planted the mile long rhododendron drive that lead up to St Catherine's Church. The wood was originally called Bishop's Bear Wood and was always claimed by the bishops of Salisbury as their personal hunting chase where they rode with their guests when staying at Sonning Palace. The original Bearwood House is now a private boys school. br>Approximately 40 acre site surrounding office accommodation. Largely wooded, heavily infested with rhododendron and cherry laurel.
