Activity description

A project for unemployed women over 16 who are looking to gain experience and confidence to work/ volunteer in the environmental sector and / or those that want to focus on wellbeing and confidence building in a peer support setting within nature. What to expect: Sessions are free and are designed to support women who wish to gain experience for onward employment or volunteering; or those looking for confidence building and nature based wellbeing experiences. We will provide group, peer supported outdoor activities as well as bespoke and 121 support, coaching and mentoring. Join our free sessions for: • Wellbeing in nature activities e.g. open water swimming, fire lighting and cooking, natural crafts like willow weaving • Practical green skills training e.g. Woodland management, nature ID/ surveying, wildflower and meadow enhancement • Peer to peer empowerment • Confidence building • Bespoke coaching & mentoring • Individual employment support available • Free minibus transport • Refreshments provided

Meeting place

We will meet at the Visitor's Centre, Sale Water Park, Rifle Road, M33 2LX. This is 5 mins walk from the tram stop, there is free parking available here and places to secure a bicycle. If transport is a barrier, please let us know as we can provide free minibus transport from local community venues if needed.

I will provide all tools, equipment and brews and biscuits. Please can you bring water, lunch if you'd like it and wear weather appropriate clothes that you wouldn't mind getting muddy and sturdy footwear like trainers or walking boots.
