Activity description

Woodland management tasks for The Woodland Trust. Helping to keep this beautiful site a haven for wildlife and enjoyable for walkers.

Meeting place

Meet at our office on Fearon Road about 9.15am if you would like to travel with us in the minibus. Otherwise, you can meet us on site but it is essential that we know to expect you so that we can confirm meeting points and update you if there is a change to the plan. Please get in touch to register as a volunteer and book on to this session.

Site description

Owned by Woodland Trust. br>Ancient woodland. 44ha site is mainly Sweet Chestnut coppice interspersed with some large Oak trees- a rarity habitat in South East England.

We are looking after several local Woodland Trust sites this winter with TCV volunteer teams. No previous experience required, project leaders will be on hand to guide you through everything.
