TCV Northern Region

"TCV in the North aims to support individuals and communities in taking voluntary action to improve and sustain their local environment"

The Northern region of The Conservation Volunteers in England spans Northumberland Tyne and Wear, Co Durham, Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire.

It encompasses a wide variety of landscapes and offers opportunities to undertake many different types of conservation work throughout the year.

In addition, we run a full programme of training courses, and through our Employment & Training operations in Cumbria and the North East, we operate employment and skills training programme in conjuction with Job Centre Plus and The Learning Skills Council.

Travelling to office from Preston centre

By Bus

Bus stop outside Primark shop next to Fishergate centre.
Take bus 75 (stand 55) or 88c (stand 27) .The bus 75 is every hour to Chain Caul Way to the bus stop just after pipe bridge, then walk back to Lockside Rd. on your right. The bus 88c is every 15 minutes to McDonalds walk back to roundabout take right turn and next right and walk up to road just before pipe bridge on your left. Return on the 88a.

Cycling from Preston Railway station

New cycleway due to open soon from car park behind station next to steps .

Otherwise cycle down Fishergate hill turn right at traffic lights and take cycleway/footpath where rail tracks cross road. Cycle alongside Ribble until sign post directs you off right.Cycle over dock bridge and take footpath to Lockside just after the rail tracks cross the road.
