Practical Conservation Tasks

The Practical Conservation Group is a group of volunteers who have a concern for the environment and a desire to improve it through practical action. Volunteers meet during the week and work on a variety of interesting sites and projects throughout Somerset.

All you need to do is arrive at the pick-up point at the time on the programme. We will provide tea, coffee and biscuits throughout the day, but please bring:

  • a packed lunch
  • strong footwear, preferably steel toe-capped boots
  • Waterproof clothing - essential!!
  • Some sites may be remote and exposed - please also ensure you bring plenty of warm clothing, including hat and gloves

TCV positively welcomes people from all parts of the community and is committed to equal opportunities. If you have any special requirements please contact us first before you come out.

It is strongly recommended that your tetanus inoculation is up to date. See below for pick up points and for who to contact
