Senior Project Officer

INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY

Location: Grangemouth, Falkirk

Salary: £25,225.20 pro rata per annum

Hours: 35 per week (full time)

Contract Type: Fixed term until 31/03/2026

About the role

The senior project officer will be based at Jupiter Urban Wildlife Centre in Grangemouth. The post will facilitate a wide range of learning opportunities for local people so that they learn about and actively conserve the wildlife-rich habitat at Jupiter. Activities include identifying species, habitat management, growing insect-loving plants and a wide range of vegetables, salad, fruit and herbs. We also coordinate the wood recycling project where service users learn how to recycle pallet wood into raised beds, planters, trellises and benches.
Our long-term programme of regular facilitated natural learning activities has multiple benefits for our service users. People feel happier, more connected to people and places, they learn new skills and they feel restored by the wonderful diversity of plant and wildlife that Jupiter protects.

* A full driving licence is preferred

* This post is subject to an enhanced PVG check.

Essential: Valid First Aid at Work certificate.

A full, clean or near clean UK driving licence is required for this post, which has been held for a minimum of one year.

To fulfil the role, you must be resident in the UK and have the right to work in the UK.
