Destination Tweed Environmental Education

Destination Tweed and TCV wish to demonstrate through engagement and participation, the importance of sustainable land and water management and how Estate management, farming and forestry can work in balance, to protect wildlife, landscapes and the historic and cultural heritage of the Tweed Catchment.

We want to create opportunities for learning, training and volunteering which will help to strengthen communities, the environment and the local economy. We wish to further explore and evidence our assumptions and detail how best an engagement programme could be undertaken, including the resources that would be required to deliver it.

This questionnaire will discuss new and existing opportunities for outdoor learning. This can include indoor lessons and outdoor sessions and can cover a range of topics from wildlife and rivers to archaeology and climate change. As the future custodians of the river, we are keen to help our local community get more informed and involved.
