At Burgess Park
It's been quite a few years since we last worked in Burgess Park, but now we have been asked to help improve the access through the Albany Road Woodland section of the park, between the ponds and the Albany Rd perimeter. We will be installing timber edging and filling the paths with hardwood chip for greater longevity than standard mulch, and installing small 800mm width oak sleeper steps on the inclines through the woods.

With Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park Events
At Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park
Join TCV and InspiralLondon for a gentle walk workshop with an introduction to bird migration. The main visitors to the UK from Africa that use the wetlands along the river Thames include Common Terns, Sand Martins, Swifts and Reed Warblers. Why do they travel so far and where do they come from? Much of this remains a mystery but in late Spring, as the leaves unfurl and insects become active, a variety of migrating birds come and feed and breed in the temperate summer here. With longer days and an increase in insect activity, the birds take advantage of the welcome refuge at Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park. For this event we take a birdsâ eye perspective of travel, exchange and interaction⦠and trace a new history of migration and exchange. Book a ticket via InspiralLondon's Eventbrite link or just email TCV at gpep@tcv.org.uk
