    Wild Fridays

    With Hull Road Park Project

    At Hull Road Park

    Activity description

    Join us for this family friendly volunteering opportunity in Hull Road Park. On Wild Fridays we aim to improve the park for wildlife by creating new nature homes, planting wildflowers, eco crafting, conducting wildlife surveys and more! Most recently we have created an insect hotel, made bumble bee homes and sown wild meadow seed. This relaxed, informal session is great for those wanting to make a difference, meet new people and get outside. The group is diverse open to additional needs and dementia friendly. During our break volunteers can enjoy snacks and hot drinks provided free of charge from the Choose2cafe (if you have any dietary requirements please contact before attending). Do as little or as much as you like, and stay for as long as you wish! Please contact the office for more details. We look forward to meeting you.

    Milebrook Hall Community Garden

    Activity description

    Join us in the garden at Milebrrok Hall for a couple of hours of relaxed conversation and food growing. We have a greenhouse here to enable us to start the growing season off early. There are also a couple of raised beds which are readily accessible and easy to manage. This session coincides with the coffee morning too, so a warm brew is never far away. All tools and gloves etc are provided for you.

    Community Woodfuel at Bagworth Heath Woodlands

    Would you like to help biodiversity, while reducing your living costs? Come and join our Community Woodfuel session, where we thin young planted woodland (a planned part of biodiversity improvement) in return for taking your harvested wood home for your own use! This is also a great family activity - parent and child (aged around 10 +) STRICTLY by arrangement, or why not come with your partner and some other adult relatives?!
