With Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park Events

About 0.0 miles away from your postcode

    At Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park

    Activity description

Connect with nature through movement in a special session guided by Sarah, an experienced yoga teacher. This month, we’ll use the calming and comforting environment of our ecology park to explore how yoga philosophy can support our wellbeing. Gentle stretches inspired by nature and wildlife will help relax your mind and body while nurturing your soul. At the end of the session, enjoy a cup of chai and try reflective journaling in our quiet spaces, specially reserved for this experience. Take home a token of relaxation to remind you of your experience. The session is open to all adults (18+) interested in learning more about mental health, building practical wellbeing tools, and connecting with a supportive community. This session is free, but booking is essential as only 12 spaces are available. To reserve your spot, email: georgiana.irimia@tcv.org.uk Programme delivered by the Friends of Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park and funded by the London Community Foundation

Path and Picnic Benches Installation at Southern Park SE10 0BW

With Biodiversity Action Team (South London)

About 0.1 miles away from your postcode

    At Southern Park

    Activity description

We return to Southern Park to install a short 14m length of self-binding aggregate path leading into the grassland, in front of the new estate entrance beside Southern Park. We will also be creating 2 low level, turf covered bunds from the excavated soil & turf to run along either side of the path, to encourage people to stay on the path and not wander into the meadows areas on either side of it. We will also be installing 2 picnic benches within the park with hardstanding surrounds, and securing the benches to concrete anchors below the ground to ensure they stay put. Finally we will be topping up the aggregate level in the path we installed a few years ago, on the other side of the park.
