We return to the new Biodiversity Garden in the park now that the perimeter fencing has been installed, to complete the installtion of the self bound aggregate pathway in the western corner of the garden, and to relandscape the garden bed and fencing outside the perimeter fencing to make way for the new access point. We will also be clearing any unwanted vegetation from the garden, and mowing / strimming as needed.

Whether you are an expert or complete beginner this will be a chance to get outdoors and explore the wildlife on your doorstep. Join our regular Saturday conservation workdays at the Ecology Park and help the wardens carry out vital management work in our different habitats, including marsh, meadow, lakes, ponds, shingle beach and woodland. You must book a space in advance for our Saturday workdays by emailing gpep@tcv.org.uk. The first time you volunteer we will ask you to fill out a TCV Volunteer Welfare Form. Spaces are limited to 10 volunteers on a Saturday. You will be working as part of a volunteer team with the park wardens, carrying out tasks such as pond clearing, reed cutting, meadow cutting, coppicing (cutting smaller tree stems), digging and weeding.
