With Hollybush Wildlife Walks
At Hollybush Conservation Centre
Every Monday the Wildlife Walkers gather to take a walk in one of the wonderful parks and nature reserves of Leeds. The walks aim to be accessible for a range of abilities, with regular routes planned to include at least one wheelchair accessible option a month. The group includes plenty of time to appreciate and identify nature along the way. The routes are usually between 1 and 2 miles, with a cup of tea and a snack provided along the way.

This is a five week course which runs every Monday from 10th November to 8th December 2025 from 10.00am to 4.00pm <br>Health and Wellbeing courses are designed to help you to improve or take care of your physical and/or mental health and wellbeing. <br>This hands-on course is all about using creativity to boost wellbeing, tackle feelings of isolation, and support mental health. You'll learn practical woodwork skills that you can use in everyday life - no experience needed! Whether you're a complete beginner or just want to refresh your skills, you'll get to safely use common hand tools, measure wood accurately for simple projects, create basic joints and fixings. It's a relaxed and supportive environment where you can learn new skills, meet others, and enjoy the process of making a planter and a small garden store with your hands. <br>This course is FREE if you are in receipt of certain income related benefits; work full-time (37hrs a week) and earn below £25,750 or work part-time and earn below £13.85 per hour; It is £37.50 for those in receipt of state pension. Otherwise contact us for course fees. With Holywood Green Gym- Dunville Community Garden
At Dunville Garden
Holywood Green Gym is set in Dunville Heritage Community Garden, Redburn Country Park. Run by TCV in partnership with Holywood Shared Town and Men's Shed. It is a great space for all abilities and skills experience to come and learn, join in and have fun! Our Green Gyms are funded though the PHA and aim to improve peoples mental and physical well being by connecting us with nature and helping our environment. At Dunville Garden we are partially restoring the old Victorian garden for our community and nature. We have many projects and focus on food growing, invasive species removal, habitat improvement and management, horticulture skills, path restoration and many more projects. We aim to work with each volunteer and teach them new skills as well as sharing your skills and expertise with the group, we want to hear your input and ideas for this community space. Most of all we want to have fun and create a safe space for everyone and nature. We have projects for all abilities so please get in touch of you have any additional needs or requests.

The Forth Valley Biodiversity Action Team undertake various practical conservation tasks and improve green spaces across Falkirk and Stirling. Activities include woodland management, pond clearance, maintaining paths and sowing wildflower seeds. We are dedicated to enhancing biodiversity through a range of activities from woodland management, creating habitats, eradicating invasive species, sowing wildflower seeds and community garden work. Volunteering is a great way to gain new skills and an opportunity to meet new people from a range of backgrounds. Come and join us to help care for the environment, meet new people and spend some time in the great outdoors!

At RSPCA Mallydams - Future landscapes trust
Ground prep & installing leaky dams from Fairlight to Pett. Leaky dams are designed to slow down water upstream to reduce flood impact downstream of sudden downpours. They are made from natural materials and there will be lots installed along small watercourses to create pools and puddles ponds where they won't do any harm.

This site is a rare and important grassland habitat so we're helping to manage it for wildlife by keeping nutrient levels low. Strimming the grass off and raking it away from the grassland means nettles and thistles are less likely to thrive, giving more chance for wildflowers to do well.
