    Join us for some lake management on the grounds of the Conquest Hospital in Hastings. The task for this green Gym is to clear the majority of the reedmace that is currently clogging the lake, and pile the removed reedmace onto the side of the bank to rot down. (This is quite a physical task and you will be required to wear waders and enter water that is thigh deep.)

    Tissue Paper Stained Glass

    With Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park Events

    Activity description

    Make a colourful nature-themed window decoration out of cardboard and tissue paper. When the summer sun shines through it will have a stained-glass effect. Sessions run on a drop-in basis; they are free and no booking is required. These sessions will take place indoors, in our classroom, from 11am-12pm and 2-3pm. Ask at the gatehouse for directions. Stick around in the Ecology Park and complete the quiz or younger children's trail to learn about nature and art and win a prize.

    Join us in the garden at Milebrrok Hall for a couple of hours of relaxed conversation and food growing. We have a greenhouse here to enable us to start the growing season off early. There are also a couple of raised beds which are readily accessible and easy to manage. This session coincides with the coffee morning too, so a warm brew is never far away. All tools and gloves etc are provided for you.
