Activity description
Food growing and gardening tasks. Each week will vary depending on what needs doing, but can include seed sowing, planting out, watering, composting, weeding, construction of raised beds and garden signs. Tasks are suitable for all abilities. We take a break at around 12.30pm with hot drinks, biscuits and fruit provided.

Activity description
Join us in the garden at Milebrrok Hall for a couple of hours of relaxed conversation and food growing. We have a greenhouse here to enable us to start the growing season off early. There are also a couple of raised beds which are readily accessible and easy to manage. This session coincides with the coffee morning too, so a warm brew is never far away. All tools and gloves etc are provided for you.

Cutting the sward and raking off the arisings to be composted. Timber compost bays to be built. Cutting back encroaching scrub. Scarification and/or harrowing of ground in preparation for hand seeding and planting of wildflowers.
