With Biodiversity Action Team Glasgow
At Glasgow wide
Join The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) to enhance the biodiversity of Glasgowâs many fantastic parks and greenspaces. Help care for the local woodlands and wildlife areas, plant trees and hedges, create wildflower meadows, clear invasive plant species, and much more! Conservation volunteering is a great opportunity to make a difference for nature and to combat climate change. TCV projects run daily from Tuesday â Saturday, approximately 10am â 2pm, with city centre pick-ups and drop-offs. Thereâs no minimum commitment â just join in when you can. Letâs make Glasgow greener together! We work in various sites across Glasgow. Details of upcoming sessions are emailed out each Friday. Get in touch if you would like to be added to our mailing list.

With Richmond Weekday Projects
At Crane Park, Hospital Bridge Road Entrance
We will be working along the edge of the River Crane (off Hospital Bridge Road) to remove bramble, reinstate a ditch system and create a bund as habitat for water voles. For those not keen to get messy, we will also be clearing the path side wetland scrapes of bramble. This project is in partnership with FORCE and LBRuT. Creating a ditch and bund along the river will provide new habitat for the water vole, who create burrows in river banks. The ditch system will also create a floodplain for river water to expand into during periods of high rain fall. We have a selection of waders available, but most of them are bigger sizes (7 and upwards). So if you are like me and you have smaller feet, you will need a few extra socks to work in these waders. Be prepared to get muddy.
