Join The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) to enhance the biodiversity of West Dunbartonshireâs greenspaces. We meet regularly in The Saltings, Faifley Knowes and Auchnacraig to help care for the local woodlands and wildlife areas, plant trees and hedges, create wildflower meadows, clear invasive plant species, and much more! Conservation volunteering is a great opportunity to make a difference for nature and to combat climate change. Details of upcoming sessions are emailed out each Friday. At Cumbernauld Living Landscape
We meet every Tuesday 10:30-13:00 at different Scottish Wildlife Trust and North Lanarkshire Council wildlife reserves, across Cumbernauld. We will participate in a variety of wildlife surveys to understand targeted species and how we can help them. From pollinator walks to mammal surveys, we will cover a variety of species recording. We may also complete conservation tasks, such as removing invasive species or making homes for nature. Through taking part in these Citizen Science sessions you will gain skills in wildlife identification, meet new people and discover the wildlife that lives in Cumbernauld!

The Forth Valley Biodiversity Action Team undertake various practical conservation tasks and improve green spaces across Falkirk and Stirling. Activities include woodland management, pond clearance, maintaining paths and sowing wildflower seeds. We are dedicated to enhancing biodiversity through a range of activities from woodland management, creating habitats, eradicating invasive species, sowing wildflower seeds and community garden work. Volunteering is a great way to gain new skills and an opportunity to meet new people from a range of backgrounds. Come and join us to help care for the environment, meet new people and spend some time in the great outdoors!

At Terrace Fields
Join us in volunteering at the scenic Terrace Fields to complete meadow management tasks. We will be clearing scrub encroachment on the grasslands, through the removal of elm scrub and low-lying bramble runners which are taking over sections of the bank. PLEASE NOTE we will largely be working across a grassy slope. There will be a bramble clearance site that is on flat ground, and litter picking is also required at this high traffic site! Brittany is away on leave, this session will be covered by her lovely colleague David.

Join us for a craft activity where you can create a personalised crown to celebrate birds. Using natural materials or handmade feathers, you can decorate your crown and wear it proudly... By the end of the session, you may even have picked up a few interesting facts about birds! Childrenâs trail and quiz also available all day to enjoy at your leisure. Free drop-in sessions between 11 am-12 pm and 2-3 pm.

At Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park - East Village
Join our regular Wednesday conservation workdays at East Village and help carry out vital management work in the different habitats - wetlands, meadows, woodlands, ponds and the community orchard. You can just turn up on a Wednesday and don't need to book ahead but, the first time you volunteer, we will ask you to fill out a TCV Volunteer Welfare Form (or we can email this to you in advance if you prefer). You will be working as part of a volunteer team, carrying out tasks such as pond clearing, reed cutting, meadow cutting, coppicing (cutting smaller tree stems), digging and creating new habitats.
