We run practical conservation tasks in various locations in Hull and the surrounding area from 9am-4pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays each week. Transport provided from TCV Humber field office. No experience necessary. The work varies from season to season. In winter you could be tree planting, hedge laying, or creating and maintaining ponds and wetlands; whilst in summer you could be constructing wildlife areas in schools, creating footpaths, making hay, or undertaking invasive species control. If you want to get involved in practical work outdoors, learn new skills (or share old ones!) and work with a fun and friendly group then come and join in.

Transport provided from Tang Hall Community Centre. No experience necessary. The work varies from season to season. This group meets weekly to carry out biological surveying and recording across Glasgow and further afield. This will give you experience in carrying out biological surveys, allow you to take part in Citizen Science projects, and gain native species identification skills.

With Conservation Volunteer Team - Glasgow

We are working to improve parks and greenspaces around Glasgow. Examples of work to be carried out include: Sowing wildflower meadows, creating community gardens, managing woodlands, building paths, clearing ponds, and much more! Volunteering is a great way to gain new skills and experience the different greenspaces around Glasgow. It also provides an opportunity to meet new people from a range of backgrounds. These groups run every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, from approximately 10am - 3pm. Volunteers can sign up for one or all the days. Volunteers must be over 16. With Richmond Weekday Projects
At Willow Way
We will be working to restore the Willow Way meadow in Crane Park. Recently, brambles that had taken over the far end of the meadow were removed. TCV will be working to reseed the open ground. Tasks will include raking and removing excess green waste from the seeding site, removing bramble roots, and raking in new seed.

We return to the Nature Garden to replace existing natural play features with far more robust, manufactured chestnut balance beams & logs, which we will interconnect to create a walkway through the play zone area in the Garden.

At St Georges Terrace Gardens
We will be working with the Friends of St George's terrace Nature Garden to look after this little wildlife refuge gem. We strongly recommend that you wear sturdy boots with a good grip and clothing adapted to outdoors work and weather conditions on the day. The Green Gym is a unique way to get fit, transform the environment, meet new people and learn new skills. Each day starts with a warm up and finishes with a cool down before and after a range of light to vigorous activities, designed to suit all abilities.
