One of our longest running walks and one of the gentlest â a promenade stroll to the east or a stroll to the west with a loop back round Egerton Park. Nice even surfaces, suitable for everyone, including wheelchairs or scooter or pushchairs. Lots of benches along the way for people who only want to do a little bit of the walk, take a break and re-join the group as it returns.

Harvest Mouse Ecology and Surveying Course lead by field expert at Davy Down. This course will cover about the ecology of the harvest mouse, surveying skills to use in the field and for research, opportunity to join a network of surveyors for research, conservation management strategies and techniques sympathetic for harvest mice. This course is FREE however, registration on EVENTBRITE is required to attend and attendees agree to use their skills to survey a TCV Essex site in the future. Certificate provided on completion of feedback.

Join our wildlife surveys in 2025! The event is for anyone who is interested in learning about nature, wildlife and their local greenspace. Beginners always welcome. Please book a place on Eventbrite. 10am â 11am is our weekly bird survey 11:15am â 12:15pm is often a second wildlife survey. Second survey do not run every Friday in Autumn/Winter so please check Eventbrite for details. This may be wildflowers, pond creatures, butterflies, bumblebees or more depending on the time of year.
