With Oakwood Hall Green Gym
About 4.6 miles away from your postcode
At Oakwood Hall
Visitors to this garden often describe it as a 'hidden gem', tucked away behind Oakwood Hall, a residential property and training centre operated by Inspire North. This group looks after the impressive, mature gardens through a combination of food growing, conservation, woodwork and gardening activities. The group builds on peer support and mentoring, supporting people to build confidence, well being and fitness through gardening type activities. The two acre garden allows lots of opportunity to try out new gardening techniques and enjoy the peaceful 'oasis' that is Oakwood Hall. The group is for people of all abilities and experience, so if you are brand new to gardening, or have 60 years experience. Everyone has something to bring, and something to learn, at Oakwood Hall. The session starts at 10, with a refreshments and a light snack at 11:30. We finish the activity session at 1pm, when lunch is provided. All food is provided by TCV and Inspire North.
