As we're in the early stages, our first few months are concentrating on recording what's on site now, and keeping on top of the plant species that would otherwise take over - mainly thistles. So our sessions are a mix of scything, raking, and walking over the site to survey what's there. Something for everyone!

We return to the Nature Garden to undertake some much needed maintenance on the natural play walkway we installed last January. Unfortunately some fungus has gotten into the underside of the play beams in between the bark layer and the inner wood, so we will be removing the bark and treating all of the timbers with the appropriate fungicide and wood preserver.
