Join us for our final session of the season and create a camouflage outfit for your very own paper mannequin. Discover how animals change their colours and patterns to blend into the world around them, helping them stay safe and hidden. Put your camouflage skills to the test as you design an outfit that helps your mannequin disappear into its surroundings. How well can you blend in? Sessions run on a drop-in basis; they are free and no booking is required. These sessions will take place indoors, in our classroom, from 11am-12pm and 2-3pm. Ask at the gatehouse for directions. Stick around in the park and complete the quiz or the younger childrenâs trail to learn even more about colours in nature.

At Sundon National Grid (Chalton)
We have just started a new long term project at this brilliant little site, to improve biodiversity. As we're in the early stages, our first few months are concentrating on recording what's on site now, and keeping on top of the plant species that would otherwise take over - mainly thistles. So our sessions are a mix of scything, raking, and walking over the site to survey what's there. Something for everyone!

At Archbishop's Park
We return to Archbishop's Park, this time round to excavate and install the foundations for the plinth of the 'boy with dog' statue that is to be unveiled in the park next month. There are water pipes and tree roots nearby, so we will be carefully excavating the area with hand tools, then lining the area, edging it with small pavers and pouring concrete to create a solid foundation for the 2 tonne bronze statue.
