    Join us for this family friendly volunteering opportunity in Hull Road Park. On Wild Fridays we aim to improve the park for wildlife by creating new nature homes, planting wildflowers, eco crafting, conducting wildlife surveys and more! Most recently we have created an insect hotel, made bumble bee homes and sown wild meadow seed. This relaxed, informal session is great for those wanting to make a difference, meet new people and get outside. The group is diverse open to additional needs and dementia friendly. During our break volunteers can enjoy snacks and hot drinks provided free of charge from the Choose2cafe (if you have any dietary requirements please contact before attending).     This is a new Hollybush project which will help you to develop new skills and knowledge, get more active, make time for self care, feel better, and improve your health and wellbeing.<br> The project is several weeks long, with a break for half term, and you will be able to choose to do up to two courses each four weeks long from the following: <br>Inspring Children Through Nature (Tuesday 30th Apr - 21st May 10:00am - 1:30pm)<br> <br>Nature In Your Neighbourhood (Monday 3rd Jun - 1st Jul 10:00am - 4:00pm not on 24th Jun)<br> <br>Woodland Wellbeing (Tuesday 4h Jun – 25th Jun 10:00am - 1:00pm)<br> <br>Alongside the courses you will join our team of volunteers and benefit from Hollybush staff support while you take part in one of the many volunteering opportunities and activities that we have available here at Hollybush, <br>The courses may be FREE if you are in receipt of certain income-related benefits or are on a low salary (£11.43 per hour gross). Otherwise, any cost will depend on which courses you choose to attend so please contact us to discuss this. <br>To enrol on the project or for more information please call 0113 274 2335 or email hollybush@tcv.org.uk <br>Please note that some courses are very hands-on, physical courses that require a level of strength and dexterity, and you will be using sharp hand tools. The practical and creative techniques and skills learnt on this course will support your positive mental health and wellbeing <br>After the course you could enrol on other wood or nature wellbeing focussed courses and learn further mindful artistic skills and techniques. <br>This course is FREE if you are in receipt of certain income related benefits; work full-time (37.5hrs a week) and earn below £21,225; It is £37.50 for those over state pension age and in receipt of state pension.
