    The Big Wild Play Out

    With Skelton Grange Environment Centre

About 0.0 miles away from your postcode

    At Skelton Grange Environment Centre

    Activity description

Research has shown that children just don't get enough opportunities to play out these days. They spend too much time indoors, lacking exercise and the chance to connect to the natural world - and their mental and physical health suffers for it. So we are inviting families to join us for a day of outdoor play. There will be time to run around and play games, to have a go at pond dipping, to explore an exciting new area of the site and take part in a bug hunt. Join in, feel good - get active! The café will also be open on the day with tea, cakes, samosas. veggie sausage rolls and more! Or feel free to bring a picnic. This will be a great opportunity to explore our new nature area which we have been working hard to improve and get ready for visitors with the support of the National Lottery Platinum Jubilee Fund. This work is nearly complete and we'll be able to explore and enjoy the woodland, meadows and ponds on the day. We are looking forward to having even more space for people to discover even more nature!
