At Burgess Park
It's been quite a few years since we last worked in Burgess Park, but now we have been asked to help improve the access through the Albany Road Woodland section of the park, between the ponds and the Albany Rd perimeter. We will be installing timber edging and filling the paths with hardwood chip for greater longevity than standard mulch, and installing small 800mm width oak sleeper steps on the inclines through the woods.

At Crane Park, Hospital Bridge Road Entrance
We will be working in collaboration with the horses from Oakwood Clydesdales to cut and rake the meadows in Crane Park. We will be starting the day in the A316 meadow, before moving across the road to the Hospital Bridge Road meadow. The meadows are managed for biodiversity by LBRuT. The hay cut and rake is an important step in meadow management as it helps to maintain low soil fertility, suppresses vigorous grass growth, and helps spread wildflowers.
