Activity description

This month's training is all about ponds - we will learn about the variety of life we find in ponds, how and why we need to look after this habitat, and we’ll get stuck into some practical pond work! Everyone welcome, no experience necessary.

Site description

Clayton Vale is located in East Manchester close to the City of Manchester Stadium and is a green space of around 100 acres. It was reclaimed from land fill by Manchester City Council in the early 1980's and forms a valley with the river Medlock running along its base. br>The area was designated a Local Nature Reserve in July 2006.

The course is open to anyone over the age of 16 - for those who just want to try something different or those who are looking to expand their skill set for employment in the environmental sector.  Places are limited and booking is essential - email rebecca.collingwood@tcv.org.uk to register.
