An activity with Biodiversity Action Team (South London)
Activity date: Thursday 28th November 2024
Start time: 10:00
Finish time: 16:00
We return to Brockwell Park to assist with the works that have already started in the lowest pond draining area. The site has been very overgrown with brambles for many years, but much of these have now been cleared, but there are still a number of roots that we need to remove to keep them from coming back in quickly. Also the bamboo has spread too far in the garden, so we wil be digging this out with our long handled rabbit spades to open up the light into the frog pond area. We will return to help with the relining of the frog pond too in due course.
On site from 10.00am. We will be working at the bottom end of the system of ponds in the park, in the fenced off area.
