An activity with TCV Leicester Volunteers

Volunteers will be undertaking a mixture of tasks including general vegetation cut back and clearance work in the first section of this park, sorting out fallen timber to maintain existing dead hedge habitats and some hedgerow prep work. A popular site for everyone where over the winter seasons past TCV have helped to manage the various boundary habitats, in a sensitive way that has helped support nature and this local community green space.
There will be a 9.30am minibus pick up for volunteers from the Victoria Park Car Park, Granville Rd LE1 7PA. Volunteers will wait in the area of the stone lodge buildings at the opposite end to the war memorial. Volunteers wishing to make their own way to the site should assemble in the Parish Hall Car Park, Kings Drive LE3 3JE. Parking here is free and safe. There will be toilet facilities in the Parish Hall. Where possible volunteers should remember to bring their TCV PPE if provided. We will provide all PPE required for the task to new volunteers and those who have forgotten.
