An activity with Community Woodfuel Volunteers
Activity date: Saturday 11th January 2025
Start time: 10:00
Finish time: 15:00
Would you like to help biodiversity, while reducing your living costs? Come and join our Community Woodfuel session, where we thin young planted woodland (a planned part of biodiversity improvement) in return for taking your harvested wood home for your own use! This is also a great family activity - parent and child (aged around 10 +) STRICTLY by arrangement, or why not come with your partner and some other adult relatives?! Tools, training and wheelbarrows provided for this great fun, richly rewarding activity. Please contact Ben to book your FREE place.
Meet at Bagworth Heath Woodlands car park at 10am.
Bagworth Heath Woods, Heath Road, Bagworth, Coalville, LE67 1DL
This lovely site was created on a coal waste site, but now has two lakes, extensive wild flower meadows and young woodland. It is home to wild orchids, sand martins and internationally rare lowland heathland.
