We hold a short, gentle walk in Wellesley Woodlands every week. The start point varies so please check the Facebook page for details https://www.facebook.com/WellesleyWoodlands/events This is a chance to meet new people, spot wildlife and enjoy the great outdoors together, and if you're interested in becoming a volunteer leader we will be running a training session in the New Year.
Wellesley Woodlands, Wellesley Woodlands, Aldershot, Hampshire, GU11 1QA
Wellesley Woodlands comprise 110 hectares of woodlands, wildlife habitats and lakes interlinked by footpaths and canal-side walks. These former MoD woodlands are divided into two main areas, Dukes Wood to the west and Lake and Canal Side to the east. Separate from these areas, to the south of Thornhill Road, are two smaller woodlands Thorn Hill and Heather Hill (opening soon). This large and easily accessible natural greenspace provides plenty of opportunities to explore, enjoy and share in the rich diversity of the local countryside. Wellesley Woodlands are named after Arthur Wellesley, better known as the first Duke of Wellington!
