Activity description

This course runs on Thursdays for 5 weeks from 26th September to 24th October 2024 from 10.00am to 13.30pm

This course is specifically for those who would like to support positive wellbeing through learning and being in nature. The course is aimed at people who are wanting to improve their health and wellbeing. On this course you will learn about: Different habitats; Nature surveys; Wildflowers; Trees; Birds; Insects; Freshwater Minibeasts

This course is FREE if you are in receipt of certain income related benefits; work full-time (37hrs a week) and earn below £25,000 or part-time and earn less than £13.05 per hour; It is £26.25 for those in receipt of state pension. Otherwise contact us for course fees. Evidence of identity and benefits, pension, or salary must be provided before the course starts.

Site description

Hollybush Conservation Centre is a large former farmhouse by the canal in Kirkstall. Volunteers meet here on a daily basis to work on various environmental projects on and off site. It was previously a rhubarb farm.
