The last session in our winter green skills training series on Woodland Management. These sessions take place every other week and will cover the theory behind good woodland management techniques, identification of different tree species, and we'll try different practical skills. Everyone welcome, no experience necessary.

Clayton Vale is located in East Manchester close to the City of Manchester Stadium and is a green space of around 100 acres. It was reclaimed from land fill by Manchester City Council in the early 1980's and forms a valley with the river Medlock running along its base. br>The area was designated a Local Nature Reserve in July 2006.
