Activity description

Travelling up this steep slope Wilbury a lot easier when we install a new handrail. Plus marker posts will tell you where you are travelling to!

Meeting place

If you want to come with us by minibus from central Norwich, meet at the corner of Queens Road & Brazen Gate, by the traffic lights next to big Sainsbury's car park, opposite Norwich bus station [ what3words: single.affair.robe ] at 10am. Transport from near UEA also available at 9.15am by arrangement (contact mark.webster@tcv.org.uk / 07740 899 691). Or you can join us on site by the small waterworks on Alfred Munnings Road, between the Longwater Shopping Centre and Queen's Hills housing estate, Costessey, Norwich: nearest postcode NR8 5EY, OS grid reference TG 153 117 [ what3words: lows.science.remarking ] We will be arriving there at approx 10.25am.

Site description

A country park for the whole community, around the Queen's Hills development is a vast area of lichen-rich sandy heathland, ideal habitat for some of the country's rarest solitary bees.
