Activity description

This course runs on Tuesdays for 5 weeks from 29th April to 27th May 2025 from 10.00am to 13.30pm This course is specifically for those who would like to support positive wellbeing through learning to garden inside and outside of their home. The course is aimed at people with or without gardening experience, who want to learn more about greening their spaces and growing plants. On this course you will learn about: microgreens, herbs, succulents, growing food, square foot gardening, helping wildlife, how plants can improve your health, growing and displaying plants and more. This course is FREE if you are in receipt of certain income related benefits; work full-time (37hrs a week) and earn below £25,000 or part-time and earn less than £13.05 per hour; It is £26.25 for those in receipt of state pension. Otherwise contact us for course fees. Evidence of identity and benefits, pension, or salary must be provided before the course starts. Site description

Hollybush Conservation Centre is a large former farmhouse by the canal in Kirkstall. Volunteers meet here on a daily basis to work on various environmental projects on and off site. It was previously a rhubarb farm.
