This site is a nature rich greenspace set in the attractive village of Rushton. We will be carrying out some selective vegetation clearance, cutting and clearing excess vegetation growth to maintain the existing site desire lines for all users of this attractive pocket park.
There will be a 9.30am minibus pick-up from the Victoria Park car park, Granville Road LE1 7RY, volunteers wait in the area of the stone lodge buildings just up from the toilet block. Please reserve your seat on the minibus by either ringing 07764 655482 or email c.forty@tcv.org.uk thank you. Alternatively volunteers can meet with us at our Evington Park House office for 9am if this is easier.

community green space nestled within the attractive village of Rushton. Containing wild flower meadow, mixed thorn hedges, a nice variety of woodland vegetation including Hazel, Dogwwood, Cherry, Ash and bramble.

Volunteers wishing to make their own way to the site should park vehicles on Station Rd next to the Thornhill Pub. The bridle way which leads to the pocket park is clearly signposted off station Rd. Please do not attempt to park your vehicles along the bridleway.
