Activity description

Removing small gorse seedlings from the scraped areas to save the heather.

Meeting place

If you would like a lift to the site in our minibus, meet at the corner of Queens Road & Brazen Gate, by the traffic lights next to big Sainsbury's car park, opposite Norwich bus station [ what3words: single.affair.robe ] at 10am. Transport also available from near UEA at 9.15am by arrangement. Or you can join us on site, just meet us at the car park at the Butchers Arms, at the junction of Oak Lane with School Road, East Ruston, NR12 9JG (OS grid ref: TG 345 282) [ what3words: cove.relies.fonts ] We will be arriving there at approx 10.45am.

Site description

A SSSI for it's lowland mire wetlands, this extensive site also boasts County Wildlife Site heathland and a lake.
