Calling all curious kids and nature-loving families! Join us at Davy Down for a drop-in self-led bug hunt designed to get little explorers engaged with the natural world. Follow a marked trail through meadows, woodlands, and ponds, using our fun and colourful Bug Detective sheet to spot and tick off mini-beasts like ladybirds, butterflies, woodlice and more. Grab a magnifying glass, explore different habitats, and discover fascinating facts about the insects living all around us. When you’re done, return to the visitor centre to collect your Official Bug Detective sticker—and maybe even a surprise reward for your efforts! This is a drop-in event, perfect for families with children aged 4+. You can come and go at your own pace any time during event hours.
