Are you passionate about nature, community, and learning new skills? Join us in caring for the beautiful wildflower meadows at Astley Ainslie Hospital! Volunteers don't have to stay for the full session, though it would be preferable to have those that can commit to either a half or full day. There will be jobs for all! Weβre looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support our meadow management efforts, helping to create vibrant spaces for both people and wildlife. Volunteers will have the unique opportunity to learn traditional scything techniques and discover the vital role wildflower meadows play in supporting biodiversity and wellbeing. π οΈ What youβll gain: Hands-on experience in scything and meadow management Insight into the ecological and social value of wildflower habitats A chance to connect with nature and contribute to a meaningful local project π Location: Astley Ainslie Hospital Grounds π Dates: September 1st π Time: 10:00 - 16:00 π What to bring: Sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, and a water bottle.
