Meadowfield Park is on the eastern slope of Arthur's Seat with views of the Forth Estuary and East Lothian. Trees in the park include poplar, whitebeam, silver birch, pine, ash, beech and hawthorn. There is a football pitch on a flat area, but the park primarily provides a place to walk and play, roll Easter eggs, or sledge in winter. Field notes: Pond on site is now heavily overgrown with vegetation though earlier in 2023 on a site visit, frogs were heard. The football pitch and several areas within the park become very waterlogged in winter. This might be run-off from Arthur's seat or general hydrology.
