Activity description

We will finish planting trees in the gaps along the hedge at Windmill Green. Afterwards, we will visit Grove Lake to create habitat piles in the spinney.

Meeting place

Limited parking on Pit Lane and nearby residential streets, or come in the new(!!!) TCV minibus, leaving the office in Colchester cemetery at 9.50a.m. and picking up from Britannia car park at 10a.m.

We will be planting100-150 whips at Windmill Green. This should take around an hour and a half. The task at Grove Lake will involve assessing whether any more clearing needs to take place and ensuring that the logs and brash are left in a way that is appropriate for this well-used public space.
