Coppicing trees such as Hawthorn is intended to replicate the natural processes that maintain diversity in a woodland in a wild ecosystem. It ensures that there are trees of a range of ages, which benefits a greater variety of plants and animals. Please wrap up warm for outdoor winter work Toilets at the visitors centre.
