Activity description
A focus on Great Crested Newts - can we find any at Clayton Vale? We'll learn about newts and other pond life and conduct surveys of the ponds. Everyone welcome, no experience necessary.

Site description
Clayton Vale is located in East Manchester close to the City of Manchester Stadium and is a green space of around 100 acres. It was reclaimed from land fill by Manchester City Council in the early 1980's and forms a valley with the river Medlock running along its base. br>The area was designated a Local Nature Reserve in July 2006.
