Site description

Whistlewood Common is ten acres of community-owned land in Melbourne, South Derbyshire that hosts woodlands, hedgerows, community orchards, grassland habitats, ponds & streams, and many fantastic wild species such as brown hares!

The site is designed along permaculture principles (a sustainable design framework) so that it will work for people, for wildlife and be a welcoming space for people of all ages and backgrounds.
