Activity description

TCV complete a variety of tasks onsite during our volunteer sessions, including vegetation/shrub clearance, litter picking or path maintenance. At the southern end of Richmond Cemetery lies the Richmond Old Burial Ground. Dating back to 1856, the cemetery is now a peaceful and relatively wild woodland around a Grade II listed chapel. This site is managed for biodiversity by Richmond Council.

Meeting place

We will meet at the gated entrance to Richmond Old Burial Ground, accessed via Lower Grove Road at 10am. Look out for the TCV van parked within the gates. What3words meeting point:///tubes.vase.toned

Site description

At the southern end of Richmond Cemetery lies the Old Cemetery, or Richmond Old Burial Ground. Dating back to 1856, the cemetery is now a peaceful and relatively wild woodland around a Grade II listed chapel. North Sheen is the nearest station and the area is served by the 371 bus route.

We provide hot drinks, so please bring your own mug (and spoon). Booking on Eventbrite is required. Please DO NOT attend our sessions if you have tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 5 days.
