Activity description

A chance to try your hand at a whole range of practical conservation, food growing and gardening activities in this 'hidden gem', looking after the beautiful Oakwood Hall garden, with its award winning trees and hidden historical features. There is plenty of opportunity to learn or share your experiences, with some people brand new to gardening, and some with decades of experience. If you find yourself thinking you need to make some time for yourself, this is the perfect group to add a bit of me-time and make a real positive impact at the same time.

Meeting place

Please get in contact with hollybush@tcv.org.uk, 0113 274 2335 before attending your first session. Please wait in the Inspire North training centre (using What3Words below). The gardens are part of the home of the people who live in the residential centre, so please don't go into the garden unless a TCV staff member is with you.

A relaxed session with plenty of time for making the most of being in this beautiful space with a cup of tea and some soup. We will be outside for the whole session, so please wrap up warm if the weather is cold, and wear clothes you don't mind being inside and getting a bit mucky in.
