An activity with TCV Leicester Volunteers

Our final day of practical work for this season will involve replanting hawthorn 'whips' (gapping up) into designated gaps along the hedgerow boundaries. We will be double row planting also using plant shelters and canes to provide protection and aid growth of the new plants.
There will be a 9.30am minibus pick up for volunteers from the Victoria Park Car Park, Granville Rd LE1 7PA. Volunteers will wait in the area of the stone lodge buildings at the opposite end to the war memorial. Volunteers wishing to make their own way to the site should assemble in the Parish Hall Car Park, Kings Drive LE3 3JE. Parking here is free and safe. There will be toilet facilities in the Parish Hall. Where possible volunteers should remember to bring their TCV PPE if provided. We will provide all PPE required for the task to new volunteers and those who have forgotten.
