Activity description

12/02/2026: site tour and introduction. Installation dates: 26/02/2026 12/03/2026 26/03/2026 Leaky dams are a natural flood management technique to slow water down upstream of flood risk areas. They do this by creating pools and puddles where they don't do any harm.

Meeting place

Meet 9.30m at our office on Fearon Road for a lift in the minibus or 10am in the car park at the top of Battle Rec.

Site description

Woodland area with steep sided stream; one surfaced path running through. Access includes steps and bridge.
Some areas can get very muddy in winter.
