Working alongside the Mountsorrel (Tarmac) Environmental Restoration Team, our work will focus on selective tree guard removal on establishing native mixed species plantations. We will examine the tree growth and where necessary remove and stack all guards and stakes.
There will be a 9.30 am minibus pick up from the Victoria Park Car Park, if you require a seat on the minibus please confirm beforehand by contacting the project lead on 07764 655482 or c.forty@tcv.org.uk thank you. Volunteers will wait close to the stone lodge buildings just up from the toilet block at the London Road entrance to the car park. Alternatively please meet with us at Evington House LE5 6DE for 9am if this is easier. There is free vehicle parking in the public Evington Park Car Park.

Those wishing to make their own way to the site, please park and wait at the main quarry reception area. TCV staff and volunteers must sign in before any practical work can begin. We may have to meet with the Operations Manager Aaron Laycock if he thinks it necessary. Please remember to bring your TCV Hi Vis branded waistcoats and safety hats where you have them. We will provide PPE where necessary. Please remember to wear supportive ankle boots.
