Butterfly Survey

An activity with South Essex Action Team

Activity date: Friday 27th March 2026

Start time: 13:00
Finish time: 14:00

Activity description

Help us take part in a UKBMS butterfly survey and discover the hidden life of our local green spaces. By spending time observing and recording the butterflies we see around Davy Down. Butterflies are important pollinators and sensitive indicators of environmental change, so every sighting matters. This is a gentle, rewarding activity that offers a chance to slow down, learn identification skills, and enjoy nature up close. No experience is needed — just curiosity and enthusiasm. Contact the local project officer to express interest before the session.
