An activity with Biodiversity Action Team (South London)
Activity date: Tuesday 7th April 2026
Start time: 10:00
Finish time: 16:00
We return to the Nature Garden to undertake some much needed maintenance on the natural play walkway we installed last January. Unfortunately some fungus has gotten into the underside of the play beams in between the bark layer and the inner wood, so we will be removing the bark and treating all of the timbers with the appropriate fungicide and wood preserver.
On site from 10.00am.
Benhill Road Nature Garden, Benhill Road Nature Garden Corner of Bantry St and Houseman Way London SE5 7QY, SE5 7QY
What was once a neglected nature garden, is now designated a site of local importance for nature conservation following the works we undertook to re-instate the garden in 2014, and the ongoing works of the committed 'Friends of' group.
