Half-Day litter pick with some nature ID work

Activity description

This a half-day project carrying out a general litter pick of Leicester Forest East Park and associated wooded areas. We will also use the opportunity to carry out some insect and plant ID. We can practice using some of the apps and recording our findings.

Meeting place

There will be a 9.30am minibus pick up for volunteers from the Victoria Park Car Park, Granville Rd LE1 7PA. Volunteers will wait in the area of the stone lodge buildings at the opposite end to the war memorial. Volunteers wishing to make their own way to the site should assemble in the Parish Hall Car Park, Kings Drive LE3 3JE. Parking here is free and safe. There will be toilet facilities in the Parish Hall. Where possible volunteers should remember to bring their TCV PPE if provided. We will provide all PPE required for the task to new volunteers and those who have forgotten.
