Boardwalk Construction.

An activity with TCV Leicester Volunteers

Activity date: Tuesday 19th May 2026

Start time: 10:15
Finish time: 15:00

Activity description

We will focus on constructing a 14m timber boardwalk across a muddy area (during the winter months) of the woodland/site trail. We will be repurposing timber from the site where possible to use in the construction process. This will be a simple construction process that everybody can get involved with and will contrast nicely with the much larger and longer boardwalk constructed here in February/March 2022.

Meeting place

There will be a 9.30am minibus pick up for volunteers from the Victoria Park Car Park, Granville Rd LE1 7PA. Volunteers will wait in the area of the stone lodge buildings just up from the London Rd entrance gates. Alternatively please meet with us at our new workshop location as follows, Linwood Workshops, Linwood Lane, LE2 6QJ or what3words: invent.wider.zest Please make contact if you require a seat reserving on the minibus, either call 07764 655482 or email c.forty@tcv.org.uk Thank you.
